Lately, I often think about Black Metal and Satanism. I remembered a post on the mailing list Indogrindsick asking how to be a member of the Church of Satan, how to get the book Satanic Bibble, etc.. I also remembered with a local fellow scenester of mine who sent a letter to one of the distros in Jakarta and asked for info about the local underground scene, and answers from these distributions is quite surprising. In the letter the owner of the distribution (either one) says that Punk, Hardcore and Black Metal should get out of the Earth Indonesia.
I will not respond to his comments about the punk and hardcore, because I really do not care. What is interesting is his comments about Black Metal. He said that the Black Metal bands like Srimulat Indonesia, such as comedian. I do not remember the explanation of the relationship of local Black Metal band with srimulat. A clear reason for dislike of the local Black Metal band because our local bands, unlike bands out, dare to insult the religion of others rather than religion itself.
From the post I infer that we are a local Black Metal band, if you want a great and recognized as Black Metal bands outside must dare to blaspheme and revile their religion itself, in this case Islam is a religion with adherents in Indonesia .... sounds stupid yes ?
This is what makes me disturbed, if indeed blaspheme their own religion is mandatory in Black Metal? Then what reason? With these questions in my head, I tried to find answers by browsing on the internet .... of course. And with a visit to some sites and read a few articles and interviews, I finally have a conclusion like this: Black Metal Satanism in my opinion is divided in two, just a gimmick (the image that is formed only for purposes of publicity) and way of life. Examples of Black Metal that is just a gimmick Venom, Bathory and of course, Cradle of Filth and also almost all Black Metal bands outside the territory of Norway. About this Norwegian bands, the English people used to laugh at them because they (Norwegian band) was more serious in responding to Venom. Responding to teasing from British people, the followers of Black Metal in Norway threatened to attack the British bands who toured in Norway, as is eventually experienced by Paradise Lost.
Satanism as a way of life in the Black Metal bands spearheaded by Norway as Mayhem, Burzum and Darkthrone in the late 80's and early 90's. With Øystein Aarseth (aka Euronymous, Mayhem's guitarist) as the number one and Varg Vikernes (aka Count Grishnackh, Burzum) as his right hand, Inner Circle with the twelve members including Ihsahn, Samoth and Faust (Emperor) and Fenriz (Darkthrone) led the community Norwegian Black Metal. Inner circle is what determines the direction of the Black Metal movement in Norway, those who plan which will be implemented by those in the Outer Circle. And burn approximately 14 churches since 1992 and several attacks on the metal bands who disagree with them.
The most popular figure in the movement of Norwegian Black Metal is of course is Kristian Vikernes who later changed its name (you would know why) to Varg Vikernes later better known as Count Grishnackh, the motor of Burzum. Carrying Varg has burned at least four churches and for it has been several times arrested by the police and his face adorned the pages several local media. But thanks to its influence in the community of Black Metal which no one dared open his mouth and finally she came back free because police had no proof of anything. Varg later proved to be arrested for killing Øystein Aarseth aka Euronymous on the morning of August 10, 1993 with 23 stab dipunggung and neck. Varg eventually sentenced to 21 years in prison on charges of theft and possession of 125 kg and 26 kg Glynite Dynamite, four church arson, robbery and first degree murder.
The most interesting thing that concerns me is the philosophy of this Norwegian Black Metal movement, the reason for their hatred of Christians is nothing like I imagined all these years. Satanist in their different contexts with Anton LaVey and Crowley. They are against Christianity in order to expel them from Norway and return back to the ancient Pagan culture and the revival of ancient Viking cultures such as the bloodshed and killing for revenge. They hate Christians so glorifying and weaknesses of their sympathy to those who are weak and need help. Therefore Inner Circle proposed the idea to burn the symbol of Christian pride in Norway, a beautiful old churches made of wood. They hope the people of Norway soon realized that they still are children Odin (god of Viking).
And here are some responses Count Grishnackh about several important issues. The reason I chose him as a reference because he was the number two in the elite of Norwegian Black Metal, and also Euronymous themselves rarely make comments, let alone he's already not able to talk again.

Of course I never read a book of 20 pages Crowley's writings and realized that the book is silly, and meaningless, but I've never read a line kalimatpun LaVey's writings, and I do not feel never read the book, or books other than Crowley. I certainly subscribe to The Burning Flame few years ago, but only for two editions - and I consider them a waste of time (and as far as I know there are no articles LaVey's writings, there. If there is I do not even realize it.)
The point is I do not like the stupid and baseless accusations like that. In fact I have always opposed the American church this plastic devil. It's based on my knowledge of Crowley and LaVey's followers in Norway and Sweden - which to me seems just like all the things I hate. I have long warned against the lowly plastic Satanism since 1991, and frankly I was surprised by the fact that no police or author (book of Lord of Chaos) to realize this.
Count Grishnackh views on Islam
Islam is a rival of the Christian religion, so in my opinion is let them destroy each other with each other. If one of them wins, we will join the weaker side, and then will WE be eradicated as soon as we are the strongest. Christian is currently the strongest party, so we should not attack Islam, on the contrary we should join them and together against the Christians and Jews. Moreover, Islam is closer to us than the Christian philosophy of life, even more they respect those who fall dimedan war, they have a sense of Honour and of course their views on women's better than Christian. Better 'Allah hu Akbar' in the morning seven days a week, compared to the sound of church bells every week.
Actually no need to mention, that none of the foreign religion can be accepted in Europe WE, whether Islamic, Jewish, or Christian, and all forms.
Now that becomes my question is, our local bands satanic kind where? Are satanic "gimmick" or satanic "way of life". And if they choose to make Satanism as a way of life, why what? A Count Grishnackh only have a positive outlook on Islam. The only reason for dislike of Islam is because he is a racist and fascist and he is against all things non-Gemanic Norway. And then if you choose to be satanic and mejadikan LaVey and Crowley as a reference, on what basis? Again I say, a Count Grishnackh themselves regard it as ridiculous and rubbish.
Satanism in the Metal and especially Black Metal since the beginning it just a gimmick and should stay that way, Venom used to refer to themselves as components of musicals from the entertainment industry horror and they act as Satans's cheerleader, but something happened when Black Metal crossed the north sea and arrived at Norway .........
